The objective of this project is to connect people with their space. We accomplish this by association – points of the stairwell’s infrastructure are tied to video and sound media that are accessible through mobile devices. As participants move through the space sounds and video are revealed in the image.
This augmented reality (AR) platform combines syntactic simplicity with raw power. It is designed to respond quickly and efficiently to new challenges in the expanding field of augmented reality. The platform supports all kinds of video overlays, including alpha-channel and green-screen. In addition, support for 3D spatialized sound allows immersive soundscapes to be constructed on-the-fly.
This application utilizes the work of Lori Nix as a canvas to create different soundscapes.
